We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Development Director, Go Red For Women in our San Antonio office. The selected candidate will have fundraising responsibilities tied to corporate sponsorship and individual income for the annual San Antonio Go Red For Women Summit. San Antonio’s Go Red For Women Summit brings together corporate partners, medical leaders, and volunteers within the community to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #5 killers in America. In 2019, the Go Red For Women Summit raised $610,000 and the projected net goal for next year is $702,000. The next San Antonio Go Red For Women Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Revenue generation and volunteer management for the San Antonio GRFW campaign.
  • Conducting sales calls to generate new business and manage existing companies.
  • Developing relationships with volunteers, sponsors and key corporate and community leaders.
  • Chair/Executive Leadership Team recruitment and management.
  • Recruitment and cultivation of lead volunteers for Cor Vitae and Open Your Heart.
  • Managing logistics leading up to, during and following the Go Red For Women event.
  • Working with company leads to facilitate sponsor benefits and deliver on promised activations.
  • Networking within the local community to recruit and retain our valued volunteers.
  • Crafting/customizing partnership proposals based upon sponsor priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1½ years of experience equates to 1 full year of higher education.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. This experience may also count toward satisfying this position’s educational requirement.
  • Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer relationships and management.
  • Proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals.
  • Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Must have strong knowledge and skill set within Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to managing emails in Outlook, developing reports in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint and crafting letters in Word.
  • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multitask.
  • Must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory up to 75%.
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
