Areas of Responsibility:
- Liaison for 35+ UWLES-funded nonprofit partners, including agency relationships, communications, advocacy, collaborations and outreach support.
- Manage annual application process for Community Impact funding, including but not limited to:
- System configuration, training and user support of online tool for staff, nonprofit applicants, and volunteers.
- Lead application reviews, managing volunteer team, and analysis of applicant data, outcomes and operational strength, to ensure accountable stewardship of donor contributions.
- Facilitate agency funding notifications and interim reporting.
- Administer capacity building workshops for nonprofit and volunteer center partners.
- Manage UWLES’ direct service programs, ensuring objectives and outcomes are achieved efficiently and with stakeholder support to ensure sustainability.
- Participate in strategic collaborations and networks which align with UWLES’ mission.
- Manage the Get Connected Volunteer Center, including:
- Configuration, training and support of the online tool for nonprofit users
- Outreach to build awareness of volunteer center services
- Facilitate volunteer opportunities for corporate partners to benefit their workforce and local nonprofits.
- Manage part time Community Impact staff, interns and/or volunteers as needed.
- Promote awareness of and support for UWLES programs and partners through outreach and public speaking opportunities.
- Support community outreach/donor relations, campaign, marketing and special events as needed.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree
Skills/Experience:
- Positive and friendly interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills. Marketing experience a plus.
- Public speaking experience.
- Adaptable to dynamic work environment with strong multi-tasking & prioritizing skills.
- Excellent computer skills and high proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.
- Strong technical skills with ability to master new database and web based platforms.
- Presentation and training experience required.
- 5 years of nonprofit or related experience required. 3-5 years of nonprofit management or relevant experience preferred.
- Physical needs of position may include extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting boxes or other materials up to 30 pounds
- Use of own vehicle in performance of duties is required.
- Please note this position has occasional night and/or weekend commitments to represent UWLES at events, community meetings and outreach opportunities.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $51,000 to $60,000 per year
