Basic Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Assistant Vice President of Adult Services and Site Director to develop a variety of training worksites to practice and perfect landscaping skills.
- Develop a tracking, evaluation and reward system for staff and clients to demonstrate the acquisition of landscaping skills to meet program objectives and client goals.
- Develop work crews of trained clients and staff that highlight landscaping skill development, independence and help clients meet their goals within the community.
- Train staff to expect a high landscaping standard and to set goals and objectives for clients.
- Spot check and retrain staff and client landscaping crews as needed and as time permits.
- Collaborate with Assistant Vice President of Adult Services and Site Manager to develop and implement a landscaping marketing strategy for the Greater Sacramento Area.
- Teach staff and clients what a successful landscaping business model looks like.
- Develop strategies for accommodating physical disabilities in the landscaping workplace.
- Assist in the bidding process/acquisition of new landscaping contracts in collaboration with Assistant Vice President of Adult Services and Site manager.
- Ensure that program environment and work sites are safe and clean and meets the standards of quality in all programs.
- Ensure that each landscaping crew develops an annual budget and monitors monthly financial statements to understand fiscal responsibility and job viability in cooperation with supervisor.
- Provide exceptional customer services, both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a field related to social science, health, special education, welfare, rehabilitation or business, from an accredited college or university is recommended.
- Four (4) years of landscaping and business experience.
- Requires possession of a current valid California driver's license proof of liability insurance, reliable transportation and a driving record that meets the agency standards.
- Possession of a current certificate in Adult CPR with AED from an approved provider.
- Possession of a current certificate in Basic First Aid from an approved provider.
- Position requires current fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice.
- Position requires pre-placement physical and back assessment.
- Carry items not weighting more than 25 lbs.
Typical work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, days and hours are flexible depending upon program need.
