Production Assistant

Basic Responsibilities:

•  Serve as an advocate and role model for clients with disabilities enrolled in Easter Seals' programs.
•  Coordinate with clients and other staff to monitor client's Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals.
•  Assist clients in identifying vocational strenghts, skills and training need areas prior to ISP meetings.
•  Assist clients, other ISP team members and staff in identifying client needs for accommodations, adaptive equipment and/or assistive technology that increases client's ability to be more productive and/or perform vocational tasks that increases client's vocational independence.
• Provide vocational training, primarily in the area of janitorial,  through contract production work and training clients on either internal or external work crews.
• Assist with the daily work flow of production that ensures quality control and contract requirements are met.
• Pick up/deliver work service contract supplies as required.
• Provide exceptional customer services, both internally and externally.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Typical work hours are Monday through Friday; 5.0 hours per day.

Qualifications:

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Position requires possession of a current valid California driver's license, proof of liability insurance and driving record that meets the agency standards.
• Position requires a current certificate in Adult CPR with AED & Basic First Aid from an approved provider.
• *Position requires acceptable TB test results within twelve (12) months of hire.
• *Position requires pre-placement back assessment and physical.
• *Position requires a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice.
•  *If hired, Easter Seals Superior CA will cover these costs.

 Education and/or Experience:

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is recommended; or one (1) year full-time experience working with individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Prior janitorial experience preferred.
