The Campaign Specialist recruits, develops, supports and recognizes the volunteers who are core to the success of the annual campaign. Understanding the motivation, goals and needs of campaign coordinator volunteers working within their organization, the Campaign Specialist assures a successful annual workplace campaign.
Full-time. Core hours of Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the possibility of some early morning, evening, and weekend work.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage workplace campaigns to secure revenue goals.
- Lead in recruitment and orientation of volunteers: including, but not limited to cultivating support for United Way of Olmsted County annual campaign and resource development activities.
- Coordinate and implement Speakers Bureau.
- Lead responsibility for required campaign inclusion/corporate request applications, including but not limited to CFC, State of MN campaign, US Bank, Think Mutual Bank.
- Lead coordination of campaign supply assembly, files (including website) and distribution.
- Assist with event planning and coordination including, but not limited to Power of the Purse, Campaign Kick-off, Stewardship Events, and Campaign Celebration.
- Seek out and demonstrate strategic thinking and initiative to effectively analyze results and drive quality improvement.
Educational Background:
High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree. Associate Degree

Education, Experience:
- 3+ years related experience; Bachelor’s Degree; or a comparable combination of experience and education
- Project management experience a plus
Technical Knowledge:
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and outlook required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (mail merge and Excel proficiency essential to this position)
- Advanced proficiency with customer relationship management systems and electronic giving platforms preferred
- Proficiency with stand office equipment (copiers, calculators, fax machines, telephone systems)
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $31,000 to $40,000 per year
