The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the leader of the organization, cultivating a clear and collaborative vision for Community Impact along with a diverse team of high-performing leaders, staff and volunteers alike. The CEO is the Chief Mobilizer; she or he builds trust, strengthens relationships, and initiates new partnerships across private, public and corporate sectors in order to improve conditions in community. The CEO possesses a high level of broad business and management skills and is effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization. The CEO is dedicated to shared and measurable goals for the common good – creating, resourcing, scaling and leveraging strategies for broad investment and impact. The CEO is the steward of the brand and understands his/her role in growing and protecting the reputation of United Way and its relevance in the community. She or he values relationships and strives to leverage United Way’s breadth of community presence, network, and strategy.
The ideal candidate will likely be characterized by others as: visionary, authentic, respectful, responsible, and inclusive. He or she will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related) and extensive experience in organizational leadership (Community Service Association preferable). This individual will display a strong level of emotional intelligence and professional conduct.
