Responsible for developing and managing United Way’s SalesForce instance and other donor tracking and accounting databases. Serves as the technical lead on maintaining and developing processes within the database. Responsibilities include user training and documentation.  

Areas of Responsibility: 

Database Developer/Administrator – 70%

  • Manage and administer Salesforce database. Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications; ensure integrity of data integrations and manipulations.  Develop and maintain custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows and page layouts. Responsible for batch uploads, exports and updates of data. Analyze data and develop reports, dashboards and processes to support business operations
  • Manage and develop reports in SalesForce according to the direction of various stakeholders 
  • Responsible for managing/maintaining the ANDAR (SQL) database including review, test and install service packs and patches. Set up and maintain user accounts and manage their security rights. Maintain SQL server databases; design and maintain SQL reports in response to user needs
  • Manage database sync between Andar (SQL Database) and SalesForce using Jitterbit cloud based middleware
  • Manage sync between SQL databases and PowerBI
  • Integrate custom reporting and business intelligence tools, including Salesforce reporting, SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI
  • Assist in solving business problems, including enhancing business processes, recommending technologies or technical solutions, and improving end user experience
  • Work with software vendors to make improvements and fix bugs in service to all departments

Database Training and Documentation – 20%

  • Maintain technical documentation and develop user training and support materials.

IT Projects as Assigned – 10%

  • The scope of responsibility includes contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in computers science or related field; or a comparable combination of experience and education. .

Work Experience, Education, and Training Required for this Position:

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily performed indoors, within an open office setting with a moderate noise level and occasional exposure to scents and odors
