In this newly created position, the Community Impact Services Manager and their fellow CI Department staff members are responsible for leading the strategic investment of UWGP’s financial and non-financial resources to create the greatest possible impact in Greater Portland through Thrive2027. This includes strategies to assist individuals and families to achieve community and systems level change. Essential to this work is implementing a strategic plan for impact, based on an understanding of community needs, an awareness of community resources, a knowledge of best practices or promising strategies, and an ability to leverage and align UWGP’s unique strengths to support the strategies, engage in relationships and partnerships, and measure results.

- Implement all aspects of UWGP’s grantmaking processes, including applications, trainings, communications, and reporting.
- Assists with Thrive2027 partner engagement to move partners meaningfully along the Thrive2027 engagement continuum.
- Work with Resource Development & Marketing staff on message development and preparation of community impact related promotional materials.
- Support Community Impact staff and the operational infrastructure of the department in support of sustaining community collaborations and initiatives.
- Coordinate data, measurement, and evaluation of the Community Impact team’s organizational dashboard.
- Assist in identification and implementation of departmental process improvements, problem solving as necessary.
- Assist with planning for and coordinating Community Impact related team meetings.
- Ensure adherence to department planning calendar, including flow of Community Impact Steering Committee and other stakeholder meetings.
- 3+ years of professional experience in project management or process improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and community change work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to completion.
- Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Proficiency and comfort working with data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team-oriented and able to work independently.
- Flexible and able to operate in a nimble and evolving environment.
- Results-oriented.
- Must possess the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities and problem-solve issues as they arise.
- Ability to use continuous quality improvement practices to assess and improve processes and systems.
- Group facilitation experience preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of integrated program planning, development, and administration within a nonprofit environment preferred.
- Volunteer management experience preferred.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and may require additional hours during peak times, including occasional morning or evening meetings or events.
