The Marketing and Communication Coordinator is responsible for the corporate image of the organization thru product development, public relations, marketing, communication and special events
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and update marketing plans and special events calendar. Short and long range goals
- Coordinate all special events
- Develop and distribute press releases and marketing correspondence
- Maintain media database and relevant contact lists for marketing and volunteers
- Develop social media plan, maintain information for social media
- Develop flyers and materials for all marketing and special events
- Coordinate and monitor all event timelines to ensure all deadlines for events and marketing are met
- Develop various types of marketing, special events and campaign materials (brochures, posters, video)
- Coordinate TEFAP program
- Organize volunteers for events
- Write and publish Constant Contact newsletter
- Participate in public speaking engagements
- Attend agency fairs, business mixers and Chamber events
- Assist with campaign as needed or required
- Collaboration as team player with co-workers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Social Work or related field, 3 years’ experience
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in person and on the phone
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to accomplish tasks with little supervision
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends occasionally
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher
- Valid Michigan driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
