Berkshire United Way seeks a President/CEO who is a passionate, skilled leader with ability to develop and implement strategies in support of the organization’s vision and mission. Ability to partner with Board of Directors, and successfully lead staff, volunteers and community initiatives required. Must be a strong communicator, able to develop relationships with diverse constituents. Commitment to and at least five years’ experience in fundraising and community collaboration with demonstrated results is required.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure staff and volunteers have the skills, tools and passion to implement the organization's mission: Berkshire United Way ignites the collective power of individuals and organizations to build a stronger community together.
- Supervise leadership team of four with responsibility to staff of 15; lead fundraising efforts to secure $2.5 million/year from businesses, individuals and grants.
- Work closely with community organizations and leaders to reach the vision that Berkshire County is a dynamic, engaged community with opportunities for all.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
