Summary:
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. We are looking to hire a dynamic Program Specialist to work at the Easterseals Adult Day Services located in the Harmarville area of Pittsburgh, PA.
This is a full-time position; 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week. Program hours are Monday–Friday, 6:30am-5:30pm., 12 months per year. A comprehensive benefit package, including Paid Time Off, is offered. There is no evening, holiday or weekend work with this position!!
Basic Responsibilities:
As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a friendly and stimulating environment for those adults attending our day program. Responsibilities will also include participating in the development of the ISP (including updates and attending meetings); supervising, monitoring and documenting services provided to program participants to assure compliance with the ISP; assisting in training of direct care workers; maintaining contact with social service and referral agencies and families; assisting direct care workers with the personal care of program attendees.
Qualifications:
- The Program Specialist is required to have one of the following:
- Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with disabilities; or
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities; or
- Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours an accredited college or university and 4 years experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance required.
- Passing of drug screen required.
