Position Summary: Provides support for the Major Gifts team including Director, Principal Giving, National Philanthropy Advisors and Chapter Philanthropy Advisors on projects and day-to-day tasks that drive revenue. Performs duties including creating intentional communication with major donors, producing templates, coordinating MG Network calls and other cross-team collaboration initiatives, arranging donor cultivation activities and researching grant-making organizations. Additionally, collaborates with multiple teams to collect funding initiatives for MG team to present to donors, all while working to build a portfolio.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, liberal arts or related field preferred.
- 2-3 administrative/professional experience desired. Preferable in a nonprofit and/or fundraising setting.
- Must have versatile skills utilizing a variety of computer programs/software, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat programs. Experience with Raiser’s Edge or donor database is a plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive major gifts revenue at Make-A-Wish America by:
- Working with stewardship and research teams to prepare the MG Team donor outreach & proposals
- Arranging small donor cultivation events in select markets
- Supporting donor relationship managers and director in scheduling donor meetings
- Assisting with donor communications, meeting preparation and follow-up
- Engaging in coordinated outreach to select portfolio-held donors
- Building intentional relationships within National Team (medical outreach, strategy, chapter advancement, brand, etc.) to gain understanding of funding priorities and opportunities for funding that may exist
- Researching and actively prospecting grant-making foundations that meet criteria for funding and pursue relationships appropriately
- Actively using Raiser’s Edge database to input actions, pull reports, run queries/exports and record information properly
- Support Chapter Philanthropy Advisor program to drive chapter MG revenue by:
- Working with chapter philanthropy advisors to produce templates, materials and resources to chapter MG partners
- Coordinating chapter calls and meetings on behalf of chapter philanthropy advisors
- Conducting specific topical research per chapter calls and communication
- Providing travel related support
