The Donor Care Supervisor-SFS is a key contributor to the mission by serving as supervisor for the Donor Care team and the day-to-day donation processing workflow for chapters that have elected to use Shared Financial Services (SFS). Working with Financial Shared Services Manager to update, enforce, and provide input on all processes and procedures. Ensuring an exceptional level of customer service is provided to chapters and staff.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Leads and manages Donor Care team which includes setting expectations, providing feedback, managing workload, ensuring consistent response times, and delivering reliable results to both chapters and the accounting team.
  • Receives and processes cash and in-kind deposits from chapters and allocates amongst the Donor Care team for data entry. Monitors workflow and timelines to ensure processing is meeting a 2-day turn-around.
  • Provides training and coaching to Donor Care Coordinators on appropriate coding of gifts prior to entry into Raiser’s Edge.
  • Completes entries of special gifts such as stock donations, pledges, etc.
  • Imports donation information into Raiser’s Edge.
  • Prepares donor acknowledgement letters.
  • Updates and maintains chapter acknowledgement letter templates, Donor Care forms and documented procedures for the Donor Care team.
  • Manages Raiser’s Edge-based reports, queries and exports for Chapters, Finance and auditors.
  • Assist with gathering of information and documents for annual audit process.
  • Creates and updates standard policies and procedures and best practices associated to donation processing for chapters.
  • Trained as the department super user for certain technology tools.
  • Reviews chapter database information and performs maintenance and clean-up of data as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service skills; ability to work professionally with employees, chapters, and all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and handle progressive deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills necessary to answer questions and concerns in the area of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data entry on an ongoing basis. 
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a data entry and reporting environment.
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in non-profit environment.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge software preferred.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of customer service or donor-facing experience is helpful.
