The Donor Care Coordinator-SFS role is a key contributor to the mission by entering all constituent and donor data into Raisers Edge for chapters that have elected to use Shared Financial Services. Ensure entry of donor gifts and donor acknowledgement is performed accurately and in a timely manner with proper donation coding. Works directly with Financial Shared Services Manager to complete special projects and to update, enforce, and provide input on all processes and procedures within the donor care function. Ensures an exceptional level of customer service is provided to chapters and donors.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Receive cash and in-kind donations from chapters and review gift coding for reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Perform data entry and gift commit process for donor gift information into Raiser’s Edge accurately and timely.
  • Complete entries of special gifts such as stock, in-kinds, and pledges.
  • Import donation and donor information into Raiser’s Edge.
  • Update and maintain chapter acknowledgement letter templates, donor care processing forms, and documented procedures in conjunction with the Donor Care team and Shared Services Support Manager.
  • Maintain and manage positive relationships with chapter staff and members of the CFS team in order to work in a collaborative and cohesive environment.
  • Manage Raiser’s Edge based reports, queries, and exports for Chapters, accounting team, and auditors.
  • Review chapter database information and perform maintenance and clean-up of data as needed.
  • Assist with gathering of information and documents for annual audit process.
  • Agent of change related to continuous process improvement.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service skills; ability to work professionally with employees, chapters, and all levels of staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with strong ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task in order to adhere to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data entry on an ongoing basis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a data entry environment. Database data entry & reporting required.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of customer service or donor-facing experience is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations is highly recommended.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge software preferred.
