Responsible for the advancement of the organization’s priority peer-to-peer event fundraising programs nationwide – with a focus on Walk For Wishes.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Serves as a strategic lead for the organization’s peer-to-peer fundraising event programs – with a focus on the Walk for Wishes program.
- Leads and facilitates ongoing program taskforce, made up of key chapter and national stakeholders, with a focus on program innovation and strategic growth.
- Serves as a primary resource and peer-to-peer event fundraising coach and develops custom action plans for participating chapters – with a focus on key signature markets.
- Provides ongoing data analysis of program, identifying and measuring key success metrics and opportunities for growth.
- Develops curriculum and facilitates training for chapter staff on program core standards & best practices, including volunteer committee development, sponsorship, marketing, team recruitment and fundraising, event experience and ongoing stewardship.
- Provides guidance for ongoing development of tools, guidebooks and marketing collateral required to grow peer-to-peer event programs.
- Assists Digital Program & Events team with strategy, content development, testing and support for national online fundraising platforms.
- Collaborates with Marketing colleagues to develop and implement marketing and promotional strategy for peer-to-peer event programs.
- Collaborates with Director of National Events & Brand Campaigns and Corporate Alliances colleagues to develop and secure national corporate partners for peer-to-peer fundraising event programs.
- Participates in industry-specific trainings to have a full understanding of best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coaches, leads, and develops other National Events & Brand Campaigns (Walk) staff.
- Performs other related job duties, as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field required.

Knowledge and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing large-scale fundraising programs/campaigns. National program development preferred; local event development required. Walk experience preferred.

- Organize work, prioritize, and delegate to meet deadlines, and make timely decisions with sound judgment.
- Ability to lead, influence and negotiate.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing fundraising events
- Minimum of 3 years in coaching, and managing others.
- Working remotely available for the right candidate.
- Strong computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience working with Luminate Online/ TeamRaiser preferred.
- Prior experience working in a non-profit organization desired.

Working Conditions:
- Work in an office environment.
- Some travel may be required.
- May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
