United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. In Charlevoix & Emmet Counties, we focus on health, education, financial stability; investing in young children and building literacy competencies and supporting the ALICE (asset limited, income constrained, employed) population. We work to create long lasting change in the many communities we serve in our two county area of Northern Michigan.
Char-Em United Way seeks an individual experienced in nonprofit management and leadership who is committed to creating positive impact in the areas of health, education and income within the communities of Charlevoix and Emmet Counties. The CEO leverages the strength of relationships and networks, and works across private, public and corporate sectors to improve lives.
The CEO possesses a high level of business and management skills and is effective at generating resources and financial support for the organization. The CEO is the steward of the CEUW reputation and understands their role in growing and protecting it. They are responsible for building trust in CEUW and its relevance in the community.
- Responsibilities include fundraising, public speaking, marketing, strategic planning, staff development, meeting facilitation and event coordination. Competitive salary and benefits.
- The ideal candidate will have work experience as senior executive or management experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- The candidate must be willing and able to foster collaboration, teamwork and relationship building both internally with the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers as well as externally with corporate and community leaders, non-profit agencies, state and local and government and local foundations.
