The Early Childhood Impact Coordinator will play a key system leadership role on the Ogden United initiative team as s/he works toward significantly improving the developmental and educational outcomes of children in Ogden. The Coordinator acts strategically to execute the coordination and alignment of partnerships within early childhood to achieve desired population outcomes. Additionally, s/he serves as a liaison for sustained partners, who have been specifically identified to support this work. We seek a knowledgeable, energetic and dynamic team member to direct the continued development of our early childhood work within the cradle-to-career pathway.
Coalition Facilitation and Community Engagement
- Act as the ‘backbone staff’ for the work of local Early Childhood Coalitions.
- Engage various stakeholders, including early childhood service providers, university faculty, data partners, parents and more, in moving toward system change through meaningful action.
- Ensure the coalitions are identifying and working toward shared outcomes. Work with partners to facilitate action between coalition meetings.
- Facilitate meetings and guide coalition partners in generative conversation to align services, develop and implement new strategies, identify needed system change, policy action, etc.
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Direct and support the development and implementation of community-level impact strategies that are research and evidence-based to improve the success of young children (prenatal - age 8).
- May include conducting research to inform the work. This will be done in coordination with community partners and United Way’s Research and Evaluation staff.
- Work alongside United Way’s Research and Evaluation team to develop and implement data-driven processes and systems to inform the work.
Partnership Manager
- Serve as key point of contact and liaison with some strategic partnerships and partner agency Directors/Managers on matters related Ogden United.
- Work in collaboration with other team members to develop new partnerships and connections with additional stakeholders such as businesses, non-profit organizations, and public programs.
Other Duties
- Attend and participate on other local, regional and state level meetings as requested.
- Participate in meetings related to fundraising and sustainability of the initiative with corporate, foundation and government representatives as well as individual donors.
- Minimum of 3 years working in human services or related field
- Experience working on federally and/or grant-funded projects
- Familiarity with program assessment and evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple institutions
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain outcome-driven programs
- High standards of professional ethics and conduct
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google

Preferred Qualifications
- Bicultural/bilingual English/Spanish
- Master’s degree in early childhood, public administration, social work, psychology or related field
- 7-10 years working in human services or related field
- Experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Experience in program design and implementation with a demonstrated track record of successful results for programs
- Familiarity and history of service within the landscape of education, community development, and social services networks in Ogden
Salary: $41,000 to $50,000 per year
