This position requires administrative, business, technical and volunteer management competencies.  It will be responsible for coordinating specific donor activities.  Additional duties require initiative, judgment, knowledge of individual accounts as well as handling matters of a highly confidential nature that require comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices and procedures.  The position will interact with high-level executives/donors who donate money and/or volunteer time. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides daily assistance to the Chief Development Officer and as needed to Foundation and Affinity Groups directors
  • Oversee and coordinate all internal and external deadlines (includes creating yearly calendar for all groups)
  • Liaison for the team to the Marketing Department (includes Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer)
  • Provides timely and detailed progress reports
  • Manage Major Gift’s leadership lists in CRM and continuously update contact information for all events and correspondence 
  • Receives and pays invoices in a timely manner
  • Coordinates Affinity event details and follow up as assigned 
  • Assist with vendor contracts for meetings and special events
  • Provide support for ongoing multi-channel development
  • Metric-tracking for workplace and major gifts
    • Keep team on task, making sure they hit their internal metrics and complete deadlines
  • Provide high level of research, analysis, and reporting (i.e. RD Report, Board reports/dashboards)
  • Website management for leadership giving and campaign pages

Essential Functions:

  • Analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Ensure the disciplined use of CRM
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Use of excellent verbal and written communication
  • Editing skills and consistent error-free work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software applications
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, follow through, and courtesy
  • Demonstrate ability to work cross functionally as part of a team to accomplish individual and mutually defined goals
  • Prioritize work and successfully handle multiple tasks
  • Prepare/process documents, forms, templates, and reports, including proofreading and editing
  • Work well with others on tasks and projects within specified time frames
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening or weekend hours
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong customer service
  • Proficient computer skills with CRM experience preferred
  • Must be organized and task oriented to ensure deadlines are met
