We are seeking a full-time professional who is responsible for overseeing our organization’s fundraising operational and support functions and overseeing our fundraising database, CRM and digital fundraising platforms. This position will work cross-functionally with Resource Development, Marketing, Finance, and Community Impact to support United Way of Greater New Haven’s strategic direction and resource development goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Work with resource development, finance, communications and community impact staff to manage the operational aspects of fundraising campaigns, including annual fund, major donor, planned giving and special anniversary campaign.
  • Create and design reporting processes for development campaigns, based on customer requirements, to shape strategy and measurement of results.
  • In coordination with finance department, manage UWGNH’s donor database (Enterprise) with respect to data quality and updates.
  • Oversee and manage UWGNH’s CRM system (Insightly) with respect to data quality, upgrades, technical issues, strategic use and new opportunities to enhance workflows with integration of new features.
  • Oversee and manage UWGNH’s online giving platforms (Formstack and E-way) with respect to data quality, upgrades, technical issues, strategic use and new opportunities to enhance workflows with integration of new features.
  • Work with communications staff to create segmented donor and prospect lists based on interests and communication preferences.
  • Create and implement communications plans for donor segments, with particular emphasis on leadership donors, to keep donors informed about the impact of their contributions, and to promptly and meaningfully acknowledge donors.
  • Manage donor data efficiently and accurately; input donor visit notes, update annual leadership donor roster names and contact information, resolve identity conflicts, etc.
  • Coordinate ongoing donor and prospect research.
  • Oversee and implement UWGNH direct mail appeals, including both individual and corporate, and manage donor acknowledgement process.
  • Create, maintain and run various resource development reports.
  • Participate in new technology research and evaluation in the external market, with existing contracted vendors and through United Way Worldwide.
  • Coordinate with finance department on training staff in the use of UWGNH’s primary fundraising applications, including orientation of new staff
