The Resource Development Director for United Way of the Lakeshore is responsible for the overall organization, development, management, and evaluation of the annual campaign. This position should posses the ability to gain a clear understanding and have the ability to effectively communicate the role of United Way in the community, capacity to take a leadership role within the organization, partner with businesses, community and government leaders in addressing human service needs in the community.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop a resource plan including annual campaign, individual giving, and sponsorships; train and support community workplace campaign volunteers;
- Coordinate and oversee administrative aspects of workplace campaigns; provide progress reports on campaign status;
- Cultivate and maintain effective year-round customer relationships; recruit campaign cabinet members and campaign chair and provide support to both;
- Recruit and manage the loaned executive program; recruit and manage training for the agency speaker’s bureau.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree;
Skills/Experience:
- 3-5 years progressively increased successful campaign experience;
- Minimum 3 years experience with a United Way campaign or other promotional effort; excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Knowledge of Andar helpful; problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and time management skills.
