The AmeriCorps Administrative Assistant will work closely with the program manager to provide administrative and event support for the AmeriCorps program. AmeriCorps is a network of national service programs, made up of three primary programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. Members commit their time to address critical community needs like increasing academic achievement, mentoring youth, fighting poverty, sustaining national parks, preparing for disasters, and more.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Onboarding members
- Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
- Assist with service days / training days
- Data entry – Enterprise, OnCorps, Excel
- Communication with members
- Learn, understand, and comply with the various procedures and requirements set forth from the Corporation for National Community Service
- Others duties as assigned
Educational Background:
High School Diploma
Skills/Experience:
- Highly ethical, trustworthy, dependable, flexible
- Attention to detail is critical
- Able to prioritize, support multiple projects, define problems, make decisions
- Effective communication skills: verbal, written, phone
- Self-motivated with strong research, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to work on a computer for entire shifts
- Experience with AmeriCorps a plus
Working Conditions
- Office environment – business casual
- This is an hourly part time position / average approximately 20 hours per week. Made up of five hours per day, Monday thru Thursday.
- Eligible for paid holiday, vacation, and sick leave per part-time policy
- Eligible for company profit sharing plan if hours worked in a fiscal year is greater than 1,000
Compensation/Benefits:
Pay rate is $15 an hour
