This position will work to advance agroforestry by leading the Institute’s internal operations and providing administrative support to the Institute’s leadership. This position will work closely with the Associate Director and the Co-Executive Directors. This is a high-intensity position with lots of potential for growth. Key activities include: human resources, bookkeeping, grant management, purchasing & office management.

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
Skills/Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Fund accounting & accrual accounting methods
- Budget development & monitoring
- Grant management, reporting & invoicing, including for large government grants
- Core human resources activities, including payroll, hiring, insurance & contractor management
- Commitment to participating in a collaborative environment
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to adapt and improve processes for evolving needs and increased efficiency
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Apps & task management software
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in a non-profit environment
- Experience working closely with academic, non-profit, business, and/or farmer stakeholders
- Experience with non-profit fundraising
- Willingness to learn or experience with:
- Donation tracking, donor relations & and contact management
- Purchasing & office management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
