The Office Assistant is responsible for coordinating office operations, and supporting the Executive Director to implement United Way of Wisconsin’s new strategic plan.
Areas of Responsibility:
Executive Director Support
- Assist in implementing the organizations new strategic direction.
- Provide support for quarterly board meetings.
- Assist with calendar coordination and meeting preparation.
Content Management
- Assist with developing and administering surveys; along with compiling results.
- Collect information for constituent meetings, presentations and reports.
- Assist in implementing marketing initiatives through digital and print channels.
Project Support
- Implement communication strategies including content management, list serves and newsletters.
- Liaison to accounting, audit and other contract services.
- Assist team members with basic administrative tasks including meeting planning, office record maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and support coordination, answering phones and achieving project deliverables.
Educational Background:
BA degree preferred or three years of performing similar duties or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
All candidates should be able to:
- Complete multiple tasks, be flexible, establish priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing work environment.
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Complete light bookkeeping or have an aptitude for working with numbers.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in direct relationship with a diverse group of individuals or organizations.
- Hold your own using social media, website or CRM platforms.
Skills, aptitudes or experience that will set you apart
- Experience or interest using business analytic tools such as Domo or Tableau.
- Strong creative thinking skills.
- Experience generating and editing content for digital or print media.
- Prior non-profit or AmeriCorps experience.
- Track record of solving problems, even small ones.

Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $31,000 to $40,000 per year
