We are currently looking for a candidate who will be responsible for the achievement of philanthropic and engagement goals associated with the growth and development of Tocqueville giving through donor-centered strategies. The position works to build relationships with and provide engagement opportunities for Tocqueville donors ($10,000+) aligned with United Way of Dane County’s focus areas (Education, Income, Health) and initiatives. The Tocqueville Society is comprised of more than 240 households making an annual gift of $10,000 or more. Specific emphasis on amplifying giving through building a Women of Tocqueville affinity group, deepening relationships with individual donors, and broadening support in workplace and community campaign.
- Responsibilities include the development and implementation of a multiyear plan to increase membership and revenue from Tocqueville Society members.
- Identify and recruit volunteers for leadership roles and Tocqueville ambassadors. Provide support and training for staff and volunteers as it relates to Tocqueville.
- Five years of experience in non-profit leadership giving and/or a combination of work and volunteer experience with escalating responsibilities.
- Ideal candidates should possess general knowledge of leadership giving and major gifts, prospect research, sales, training, public relations, database management, and office software.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively ability to motivate volunteers and staff and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong ability to research, plan and organize with attention to detail and ability to understand and utilize available technologies.
