The United Way of Northern New Mexico seeks a full-time energetic and results–oriented Executive Director. It is a full time position responsible for the achievement of the mission and strategic goals of the organization. The director, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, represents and promotes the United Way to all components of the communities served.
As the executive director, you will have the ability to help identify community challenges, deliver viable funding solutions with measurable community impact-driven results, and to affect positive change in Northern New Mexico. You will also identify opportunities to maximize fundraising and provide excellent customer service to donors and volunteers.
This position will direct the operations of the office, ensuring the organization meets financial, operations, service, and goal plans.
- Applicants must possess exemplary leadership and staff development skills; effective communication both verbal and written and sound critical thinking skills; organization and interpersonal skills are required, as well as a proven ability to manage staff and multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated fund-raising ability, volunteer management, effective public relations skills, the ability to lead group presentations, and public speaking skills are a must.
- The ideal candidates will have three to five years’ experience working with a board of directors, staff management, strategic planning and goal setting, and fiscal management. Leadership experience with a philanthropic non-profit organization preferred.
- This position requires flexible working hours including some evenings/weekends and some travel throughout Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties. The Executive Director reports to the UWNNM Board of Directors and supervises all staff including volunteers.
Salary: $71,000 to $80,000 per year
