United Way of the Bluegrass-Resource Development DepartmentReports to Vice-President of Regional Development
The Resource Development Coordinator leads day to day support and fulfillment requirements for the Development Department. Implements and refines methods to support United Way of the Bluegrass process driven approach in its corporate, workforce and individual giving program to build maximum resources for achievement of community impact objectives. The position deals with serious and confidential communications/information regarding donors and their philanthropy.
- Help Resource Development staff with mailings, campaign materials prep, booth and speaking engagements.
- Coordinate and support Resource Development events and workplace campaigns.
- Schedule agency speakers for workplace campaigns for Development staff.
- Work with Marketing Department to provide information for newsletter, Power Point, website, and media requests.
- Maintain membership status, provide United Way news for regional newspapers and to all city Chamber of Commerce organizations.
- Conduct United Way funded agency workplace campaigns.
- Coordinate and track annually updates to United Way Worldwide information regarding I Guide, Charity Navigator, Bluegrass Community Foundation and Guide Star.
- Manage database clean-up projects and regularly update procedures to maintain current donor information.
- Generate “Thank You” letters to donors.
- Support Corporate Gifts Only, Residence and Leadership mailings.
- Handle Birthday Cards for donors (targeted audience).
- Serve as contact person for ARC Thrift Stores-Car Giveaway Program for United Way.
- Collect Gifts-In-Kind program information for processing throughout the organization.
- Enter campaign envelope faces into database.
- Provide report documentation on donor/communications for data analysis and .
- Aid with regional Board of Trustees administration support.
- Assist Marketing with communications/special events mailings.
- Track Stock gifts and issue Thank You Letters
- Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of United Way of the Bluegrass Resource Development Team
- Minimum of 1-3 years related experience in office management, customer service, and/or nonprofit development operations.

Salary for this position is $30,000.00 - $34,000.00 to start depending on experience, knowledge and skill. United Way of Bluegrass provides an array of benefits including health insurance, paid time off and a 401k retirement plan among others.
