The American Heart Association has an excellent job opportunity for a Development (Sales) Director in Las Vegas. As the Director, you collaborate with staff and executive-level volunteers to plan and implement the Go Red For Women Campaign with a net revenue (fundraising) goal of $500,000 generated through corporate sponsorship and individual patron giving.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages and grows existing corporate accounts and individual donors as well as develops a pipeline and solicits new business
- Develops and implements a year-round cultivation plan to high-level corporate & patron sponsors
- Identifies, recruits and manages executive level volunteers in both the corporate and medical communities
- Manages the year-round Go Red Campaign, including the luncheon, according to best practices, benchmarks and timelines to achieve the fundraising goal
- Conducts active community networking and outreach through 10+ face to face meetings on weekly basis with donors, volunteers and sponsors
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years successful experience in fundraising or sales
- Ability to recruit, train, and manage high level volunteers to accomplish established goals
- Ability to thrive in a results-driven and collaborative environment with highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Skill in making oral presentations to large and small audiences and ability to write clear and concise narratives.
- Ability and willingness to travel and to work evenings and weekends as needed
Here are some of the preferred experience/skills we are looking for:
- Experience with the American Heart Association or similar non-profit experience in a fundraising position
- Experience in closing high level corporate sponsorship
- Knowledge of AHA’s mission and programs
