The Leadership Collaborations Specialist provides support the Community Collaborations Manager in implementation of the Leader in Me and additional educational programs. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Leader in Me Project Coordination

  • Work closely with the Community Collaborations Manager to coordinate TLIM implementation steps, partnership outreach, and consistent communication.
  • Work closely with the Community Collaborations Manager to coordinate TLIM events, Leadership days, and advocacy events.
  • Work closely with the Community Collaborations Manager to provide promotional needs and respond to information requests to support production of collateral materials.
  • Help support brand identity and trust by gathering success stories from individuals and partners engaged in project activities.

Collaborative Coalition/Project Leadership

  • Represent United Way of Acadiana, when assigned, to provide staff support to efforts to ensure TLIM goals are achieved.
  • Support efforts to fulfill UWA commitments as per MOU if crafted for the collaborative effort.
  • Regularly report progress, barriers and recommendations to your supervisor.
  • Upon launch of all efforts, assist in the development of a project plan with a timeline and budget.

Organizational Alignment and Adaptive Leadership:

  • Integrate customer relations management (CRM) practices into all activities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning when requested.
  • Submit all expenses according to UWA financial procedures, including advanced approval of expenditures by your supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with service delivery or grant contracts as it related to your schools under management.  Consult your supervisor as necessary.
  • Exhibit high ethical standards and morals and embrace organizational values.
  • Execute special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Attend national and regional staff meetings/training conferences.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and board or executive committee meetings when requested.
  • Serve as a Tier Two (II) staff member for disaster.
  • Ensure adherence to all UWA policies and procedures.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 

At least three years of experience with project development and management; track record of adaptive and collaborative leadership; experiences working in the education or social/nonprofit sector; strong background in program research, outcomes development, grants management and measurement as well as knowledge of the communities served; solid experience working with partners in collaborative or collective impact settings.
