FHI 360 is seeking candidates for the position of Laboratory and Diagnostics Advisor for the anticipated USAID-funded “Support TB Control Efforts in Ukraine Activity”. The overall goal of the five-year activity (“the Activity”) is to reduce the TB epidemic in Ukraine through early detection, appropriate care, and prevention for people living with TB, drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), and TB/HIV.
The Laboratory and Diagnostics Advisor will provide relevant technical guidance and oversight for all activities related to the TB diagnostic network and laboratory services. S/he will ensure that activities are technically sound and adhere to internationally endorsed or recognized guidance or have demonstrated proof of concept when supporting new interventions. S/he will advise the relevant government programs and laboratories on best practices and provide capacity building support as needed.
- Up to eight (8) years of experience working on projects related to strengthening diagnostic network/laboratory services, with at least four (4) of these years working on TB diagnostic network/laboratory services
- Demonstrated capacity to function as a technical expert for new technologies within the TB diagnostic network/laboratory community
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners on collaborative projects
- Ability to communicate effectively in Ukrainian and/or Russian, both verbally and in writing
Desired qualifications:
- Experience working in more than one country
- Experience working in similar country contexts
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Professional English written and oral communication skills
