The Digital Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for the strategy for, and implementation of, key digital marketing activities to promote United Way of Greater Knoxville and to help support organizational membership goals. This includes social media, email marketing for communications and lead gen purposes, SEO, website content maintenance, Salesforce Marketing Cloud management and Salesforce CRM integration, and reporting on ROI analytics. This role also manages the company’s organic social media presence and develops content and media designed for engagement and brand awareness.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns focusing on market segments and delivering against revenue-driving goals including, but not limited to email deliverability, open rates, and CTRs.
  • Monitor and maintain email deliverability and list integrity.
  • Analyze data to determine ways to optimize performance to improve conversion rates.
  • Generate, edits, publish, and share daily social media content that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement. Manage social media publishing platform and reporting.
  • Optimize and keep company social media pages fresh to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Continually research and keep current with current email marketing and social media trends.
  • Monitor, update and maintain www.uwgk.org as a key piece of the digital marketing strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with social network members, partners, media and industry contacts as well as the online community.
  • Direct the editorial strategy and content development of digital communications and campaigns.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Business, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing or related work experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and growing a successful digital capability including a history of expanding service capabilities, client roster expansion and key client growth.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of current Windows systems and social networking functions.
  • Experience working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign
  • Working knowledge of Word Press website design and content management.
  • Working knowledge of video editing and production.
  • Experience with, or knowledge of working with volunteers in a support role.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when necessary. Must be able to travel if necessary.
  • The successful candidate must successfully complete a background check, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
