• Responsibilities: This position’s main responsibility is to assist individuals in obtaining and maintaining competitive community based employment. Employment is obtained through evaluating skills, job development with employers, employer relationship building, providing on the job training, solving work related problems, improving communication, and supporting individuals in maintaining satisfactory job skills. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership and computer skills required. A valid NC driver’s license, auto insurance, & reliable car required. This position requires occasional night and weekend availability!
Qualifications:• Qualifications: A degree from a four year college or university in human service field such as education, guidance and counseling, social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, occupational or physical therapy preferred. High School diploma required. At least two years of experience working with individuals with IDD or MH/SA; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Having a valid North Carolina driver’s license, good driving record and be insurable is required. Experience working with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, LME/MCO’s and knowledge of businesses in these areas a plus!
