Relationship Manager, Resource Development

In partnership with the President and CEO, and working in a team environment, the Relationship Manager for Resource Development is responsible for coordinating  UWTC’s annual campaign and contributing to marketing and communications activities.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Cultivating and stewarding relationships with individuals, businesses, schools, agencies, and government officials
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate and individual donors
  • Acting as staff liaison for a team of 30+ campaign volunteers
  • Assisting in creating & distributing marketing materials 
  • Coordinating organizational messaging across various media channels 
  • Tracking, analyzing, and presenting campaign and donor data
  • Performing database administration to manage 10,000+ accounts through CRM software
  • Conducting prospect research, identifying account goals and creating targeted appeals
  • Assisting in planning and performing on-site management for 10+ community events annually
  • Delivering presentations to share the UWTC message
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years equivalent experience in marketing, public relations, business development, sales or a related field is required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proficient in Database Administration, Event Management, Marketing & Communications, and Volunteer Management.  
  • Technical Skills:  Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM Software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey the United Way message. 
  • A self starter, with independent judgment, creative skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build working relationships with volunteers, donors, community and staff. 
  • Able to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information. 
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans with diverse groups that include multiple, complex tasks and projects.  
  • Exercises initiative, flexibility, judgment, discretion and sound decision-making practices.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports United Way Mission, Vision, Value and Standards.
  • Fundraising or sales experience is preferred.
