With minimal supervision and a high level of personal initiative and autonomy, the Sr. Manager, Donor Relations, leading assigned staff, is responsible for the acquisition of Fortune 500 & Global 500 companies currently not engaged with United Way, as well as the expansion of current partnerships beyond the traditional workplace campaign. The role will develop corporate client strategies that include impact investment, reputation solutions, and employee engagement opportunities. The Sr. Manager provides leadership to a professional fundraising staff and to the implementation of strong development strategies that engage donors and produce increased giving in workplace campaigns and individual giving. The Sr. Manager is an active member of the Donor Relations Leadership Team working to foster a culture of philanthropy and to ensure the systems and procedures needed to support fundraising. Activities will include promoting leadership giving among individuals within the company’s campaign structure and working to develop stronger relationships with those leadership donors. The Sr. Manager acts as an ambassador and strategically advances the work of United Way among donors and other stakeholders. The Sr. Manager is motivated by making a difference in communities, for helping corporate partners achieve better business outcomes, and for hitting and exceeding revenue goals.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience
- Expertise in strategic and operational resource development planning (both short- and long-term).
- A leadership record that includes effective staff development, distributed leadership and accountability; able to build a positive team culture to achieve departmental goals and objectives as well as influence individuals who are not direct reports.
- Ability to identify opportunities, relationships and partnerships for new/increased revenue generation; must be able to work collaboratively throughout the organization to successfully bring those opportunities to fruition.
- Proven ability to effectively evaluate, analyze and interpret fundraising data and information to advance all development activities.
Salary: $71,000 to $80,000 per year
