This position serves as the Assistant Manager for the Office of the President and CEO. This employee serves as the first point of contact for donors, volunteers, agencies, and other business partners on behalf of the President and CEO. This position provides administrative support for the President and CEO and project management for key initiatives that support the strategic plan of the organization. This position is designed to provide experiential learning and leadership in all four function areas of the organization: Finance, Community Impact & Investment, Resource Development, and Marketing/Communications.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • CEO Calendar Management – complex and dynamic meeting coordination and management.
  • Administrative support of CEO including recording key meetings in donor database, expense reconciliation, staff meeting preparation, etc.
  • Internal and external communication (written and verbal) to employees, donors, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Project management for special initiatives for each functional area on a rotation including 2022 Centennial Anniversary of the organization
  • Maintain official records and archives for United Way of Greater Greensboro.
  • Project management working with CEO and other staff members to find innovative solutions to demonstrate community impact and engage donors.
  • Continuous process improvement leadership
  • Community engagement with organizations linked to poverty prevention and solutions
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Educational Background: 
College Degree – Associate or Bachelor
Skills/Experience: 
  • 4+ years of administrative experience and other work experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
