The Senior Campaign Manager is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies that create growth in donor engagement and investment. The Senior Campaign Manager has an assigned portfolio of accounts to research, cultivate and grow. Additionally, this position will work with the Campaign Chair, SVP and CEO to cultivate new business development. The position is measured based on outcomes that lead to greater awareness, donor engagement and increased contributions to United Way of Greater Greensboro (UWGG). The Senior Campaign Manager collaborates with colleagues, donors, and volunteers in a manner that supports the UW brand.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Analyze corporate partner/donor history to develop an annual strategy and action plan to maximize relationships to drive fundraising outcomes.
  • Research and analyze donor giving history, trends, and relationship opportunities while maintaining complete and accurate data in Andar database for all prospects/donors.
  • Develop and manage new business strategy and outreach in partnership with SVP and CEO.
  • Serve as a contributing member of the Resource Development team to assist in successfully executing the Resource Development Strategic Plan to achieve annual campaign growth.
  • Effectively manage a small number of temporary employees during campaign season.
  • Meet with and make presentations to diverse groups including company representatives, individual prospects, small and large audiences and community members.
  • Positively represent UWGG at assigned networking activities, events, partner agency events and other outside activities that contribute to relationship building and visibility.
  • Perform other general and administrative duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong sales/fundraising experience and skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both in-person, virtual and via phone, and a positive customer service attitude with the ability to infuse stellar customer service into all activities.
  • Proven teamwork skills both within Resource Development as well as on cross functional teams.
  • Ability to lead, train and manage volunteers and volunteer groups.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data as well as maintain accurate data records in CRM database.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
  • Minimum three  years related work experience in fundraising or sales
  • Proven track record of new business development and client development
  • Proficient Computer Skills – Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; database experience; internet research
