The primary role of this position is to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive community employment.  The Employment Service Coordinator will maintain a DARS caseload, as well as serve as the primary point of contact for Ticket-to-Work clients.  In addition, this position will lead work readiness classes for job-seekers with disabilities, conduct the weekly Job Club networking group and serve as the primary contact for the Employment Resource Center. 

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a caseload of Ticket-to-Work and DARS clients and meets monthly billing goals, as established by the Program Director.
  • Grow and maintain ESNT's Ticket-to-Work program and participate in all required Ticket-to-Work Trainings.
  • Conduct a weekly job club for Ticket to-Work and other job seekers with disabilities.
  • Coordinate and conduct job readiness workshops for new and existing job seekers, as needed and required.
  • Source job leads for clients of ESNT's Employment Services department.
  • Attend Job Links, IAWG and other community meetings regularly.
  • Serve as a point of contact for ESNT Employment Consultants and department volunteers, as needed and requested by Program Director.
  • Assist Program Director with developing and maintaining business partnerships to increase employment options for clients.
  • Track and maintain proper documentation and files for the Employment Services department, in compliance with standards set by Ticket-to-Work, DARS and other regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Business or related field.
  • Must have UNT certification in Placement, Supported Employment and Job Coaching.
  • Must have one year of documented experience providing employment services to individuals with disabilities or other barriers.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time, communicate both verbally and in written form with customers and employers.
  • Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time within the DFW area.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and able to use a computer.
  • Prefer candidate have experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Current driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance if travel in the North Texas area is required.
  • Able to pass finger printing and Suitability clearance for Social Security Administration.
