United Way of Hancock County is conducting a search for a proven leader for its CEO position. The role responsibilities include:
- Community Impact and Relationship Management
- Complex Resource Development/Fundraising
- Strategic Management
- Organization and Fiscal Management
The annual campaign for which this person will be responsible is approximately $3 million. The organization includes a staff of between 4-6 people with a board of approximately 15 members.
Substantial experience working in the non-profit sector (United Way experience is desirable), and interacting with volunteers and diverse boards. Alternatively, extensive experience in the leadership and management of organizations of comparable size and mission.
- Ability to command the confidence and respect of stakeholders.
- A demonstrated track record of promoting diversity and an ability to build collaboration with the community at large.
- Experience in or across multiple sectors, including nonprofit, public and corporate environments.
- Experience in developing partnerships, building teams and conflict management.
- Experience in building revenue and increasing philanthropic support.
- Demonstrated a high level of intelligence and intellectual curiosity and a desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to solving problems.
As a proven leader, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic community builder who has utilized volunteer resources, management skills, communication skills, and ability to negotiate, collaborate and foster inclusiveness among a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds is essential.
