The Individual Philanthropy Group focuses on developing relationships with major donors and prospects contributing gifts of $10,000 and above. The Coordinator, Individual Philanthropy, plays a critical role in ensuring excellence in our support and cultivation of top donors and in the smooth running of our fast-paced team. The individual will provide all necessary administrative support to the Senior Director, Individual Philanthropy and our sub-team of three other fundraisers who support primarily East Coast donors. The Coordinator will have a variety of responsibilities and support different projects with great opportunities to learn about and contribute to the work of Save the Children.
Provide donor support and administrative assistance to the Individual Philanthropy sub-team and Senior Director (80%):
- Cultivation and Stewardship: Under the direction of the Senior Director, Individual Philanthropy, support the fundraising team’s cultivation activities and relationship development with major donors and prospects.
- Participate in the creation of donor outreach strategies and monitoring of prospect contacts; help maintain the donor database, and serve as the main point of contact for award management, among other duties.
- Prepare donor materials, including but not limited to: mail merges, printing and binding donor materials, hand-addressing and handwriting custom mailings and notes; creating field visit photo books, submitting tracker requests, calendars, and other related duties.
- Assist with the development of materials for senior management meetings, donor meetings and additional high value meetings as needed; draft presentations as required.
- Establish strong internal working relationships and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute projects and obtain support across departments.
- Coordinate calendar of the Senior Director in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear communication.
- Obtain budget codes, process gifts and be the point person for Gift Processing in Finance.
- Manage travel and conference arrangements.
- Support the fundraising team’s event planning efforts.
- Update and maintain external and internal website landing pages as needed.
- Support ad hoc requests and support other projects as requested.
Assist with special projects as requested by the Senior Director and members of the team (15%):
- Lead the administrative stewardship and recognition events.
- Compile monthly professional development emails to keep the team apprised of relevant seminars, webinars, trainings etc. to encourage ongoing learning and exposure to the latest trends and practices in the field.
- Coordinate year-end thank-you campaign for high value donors; working cross-departmentally within the agency.
- Support leadership councils and donor groups as needed.
- Assist with salons, galas, private parties, and other events as needed.
- Coordinate email campaigns using online marketing platform and update donor records accordingly.
- Perform other duties as may be required.

- Minimum 2-3 years' of administration experience in a fundraising or related environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- 3+ years’ of administration experience in a fundraising or related environment
- Experience with donor databases, especially Blackbaud
