Marketing Manager, Campaign Donor Experience

The Marketing Manager for the Centennial Campaign will help strengthen fundraising strategies for the campaign by ensuring the development of, and timely access to, impactful material that both inspires investment and uniquely recognizes donors.  S/he will partner with the Sr. Director, Principal Gifts Officer to develop the Centennial Campaign communication stream and recognition program.  S/he will partner with colleagues across the Agency in ensuring the creation of high quality content (written, photo and video) that will help motivate existing and prospective donors to give and support a positive donor experience once investment was made.  The Marketing Manager will support the needs of fundraisers, ensuring creative assets are provided, meeting the specific donor needs/interests.  The Centennial Campaign seeks to raise an incremental $100M by 2019.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Across the campaign portfolio of investment areas, and for a variety of audiences, which include trustees, high net worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and mass markets, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

Creative Asset Management (45%)

  • Responsible for day-to-day delivery of key campaign communications to retain and engage supporters
  • Ensure timely delivery of high quality creative assets (videos, case studies, blogs, etc.) from country and program staff to fit campaign needs
  • Coordinate and support content development for the campaign external website and social media presence, ensuring high quality content and storytelling
  • Partner with brand team on execution of materials
  • Coordinate with global centenary messaging and leverage materials as appropriate

Communication Plan (35%)

  • Partner with Sr. Directors and others to develop an integrated campaign communication strategy across all channels (print, digital, phone)
  • Partner with Sr. Directors and others to establish and continually improve a unique donor recognition program for campaign investors; develop transition plan post 2019
  • Map to and coordinate with (1) fundraisers on current cultivation and stewardship activities; (2) brand team on event calendar and messaging moments
  • Conduct review on effectiveness of communications and identify areas for improvement
  • Be the key contact person on communication plan and inform stakeholders on new initiatives

Acknowledgement and Receipting (10%)

  • Manage all acknowledgments for campaign gifts
  • Partner with mass market to ensure proper tax receipting and recognition

Administrative Duties / Others (10%)

  • Ensure BBEC updates as needed across communications
  • Support the Centennial Campaign Team in other projects as needed
Educational Background: 
High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
Skills/Experience: 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in marketing and/or communications related field
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of constituents
  • Strong organizational skills, workflow planning and management of multiple and shifting priorities without compromising quality
  • A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent computer skills including in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ideally, proficient in graphic design software and experience in website management and HTML formatting
  • Familiarity with new and emerging technologies and their use in marketing
  • Requires little or no supervision on routine work assignments, but may require supervision to review work progress and results on non-routine work assignments
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters related to functional area. General regulations exist, but incumbent must interpret the regulations. The "what" and "how" are provided, but must always interpret the "how"
  • A passion for international development and a commitment to Save the Children’s mission and global
