Manager, Gift-in-Kind

Summary

The Manager, Gift-in-Kind will work with and report to the Associate Director, Gift-in-Kind (GIK) managing the operations and contributing to the growth of the agency’s Gift-in-Kind portfolio--currently $25M in products and services per year. This position is key to ensuring that the administration of each GIK received is handled with accuracy and in a timely manner.  This manager will interact heavily with finance, award managers and corporate partnership account managers.

 

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Operations 40%

  • Create and maintain information on all GIK trackers, AMS and BBEC on a weekly basis.
  • Process revenue bookings and file with finance within two weeks of each project’s landing or end date.
  • Maintain and improve GIK process documentation with at least twice-yearly updates.
  • Ensure that GIK folders are organized and purged as needed on a quarterly basis.

Donor Research 20%

  • With the GIK staff to identify corporations which can provide goods and services indicated on annual needs lists from COs.
  • Prepare Get Smarts and Due Diligence paperwork for new donors and ensure these documents are updated for existing donors according to department rules.

Donor Relations 10%

  • Manage GIK-only donor relationships as assigned. Create partnership plan and stewardship materials, schedule regular calls and grow partnership support.

Communications/Reporting 10%

  • Provide GIK wins to Coordinator and key information regularly in CP weekly email
  • Present at least twice a year at CP department meetings to update staff on key GIK information
  • Provide quarterly dashboard reporting to Director
  • Run monthly pipeline reports and make updates as requested before posting on N drive

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, marketing or communications
  • High School or Technical/Vocational Degree
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Creative and flexible
  • Open-minded team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong operations and administration skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
