The primary purpose of the Manager, Cause Marketing & Partnership Development is to assist the Director in generating annual corporate revenue through the development of cause-marketing programs and new corporate partnerships. Strong focus will be placed on generating cause-marketing alliances that produce revenue to support the overall mission of Save the Children, and help develop and launch new cause marketing initiatives by building an expanded corporate sponsor portfolio.
The Manager will support the Director in the development of the vision and strategy for implementing cause marketing fundraising programs that positions Save the Children as a preferred charity of choice for major U.S. and global corporations and participate in the creation of a world class Unit to drive the revenue growth and new business development of major corporate partnerships.
- Contribute to the development of strategies to expand Save the Children’s cause marketing campaigns; assist in the development of corporate prospecting plans and sales materials to secure partners in a customer-facing approach; liaise with related agencies; assist in the management of KPI plan and provide ongoing monitoring to ensure campaigns deliver on Save the Children’s strategic objectives and corporate partner’s expectations. (20%)
- Manage and grow prospect lists including all necessary research to create such lists and help draft pitch material for prospective partners to assist in the development of new corporate partnerships. (20%)
- Working with the Director of Cause Marketing & Partnerships as part of the Corporate New Business Team, work closely with all members of the Corporate Partnerships Team to explore, present and secure cause marketing opportunities; collaborate with corporate partner’s marketing teams and Save the Children’s Marketing & Communications Team during the sales process and manage program implementation. Assist Director of Cause Marketing with administrative tasks as needed. (50%)
- Work collaboratively across all areas of the Agency with a particular focus and synergy around advancing our overall mission of helping children every day, in times of crisis and for our future. Examples would include working closely with our Marketing & Communications Team to develop corporate partnerships that increase our brand recognition, digital and social media outreach, thought leadership profile and volunteer engagement. (10%)
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in progressively responsible positions, with business development and cause marketing experience
- Experience in sales or fundraising, marketing and promotions required.
- Minimal travel required
