A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct care to adults with disabilities and helps them thrive in our secure, comfortable and encouraging home-like atmosphere.  DSPs assist individuals in reaching their goals for greater independence.

This is a full-time position. (Full-time is 35 hours or more per week; part-time is 29 hours or less per week.)

PLEASE NOTE that work hours may vary from week to week. 

  • Mornings only: 5/5:30am–8/8:30am Monday–Friday 
  • Split Shifts: Monday–Friday 5/5:30am–8/8:30am and 2:00pm–9/10:00pm. Saturday & Sunday 6/7:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–9/10:00pm
  • Weekends: Saturday & Sunday 6/7:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–9/10:00pm or 12-hour shifts
  • 3rd shift: 9:00pm-7:00am or 10:00pm–8:00am depending on the group home. 

Split shifts and daytime hours are required for training purposes.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide direct care with all aspects of daily living including feeding, bathing, dressing, assist with mobility, etc.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other medical procedures as trained and prescribed.
  • Assist with housekeeping such as laundry, cooking, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
  • Assist clients in attending doctor/therapy appointments, day program, outings, etc.
  • Document client goals
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Must be at least 18 years old with either a High School Diploma, GED, or the ability to pass a reading test
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must pass a Drug screen, TB test, Physical, Reference checks, and Background checks.
  • Lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to pass Core A & B medication administration tests and become CPR/1st Aid Certified.
  • Direct Care experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation/Benefits:
