To provide general office and clerical support according to the policies and procedures of the Center as well as to participate in the accomplishment of the mission of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide administrative support to CE Manager for 4-6 months leading up to each course:
    • Format course brochures using Microsoft Publisher or other software program
    • Facilitate registration of participants
    • Apply for course credit with necessary organizations
    • Participate in marketing courses as needed
    • Print, copy and collate course handouts into binders
    • Prepare course documents
    • Shop for course food and supplies
  • During each of 10-12 courses per year:
    • Open building when necessary
    • Set up morning continental breakfast and afternoon snacks
    • Assist presenters with set up of audio-visual equipment
    • Facilitate check-in, sign-out of participants
    • Clean up breakfast table
    • Take lunch orders, obtain speakers’ lunches, set out at lunch break
    • Provide assistance to participants and speakers/presenters as needed during the conference
    • Answer phones, when necessary
    • Clean up snacks and conference room at the end of the day
    • Lock up building when necessary
  • Facilitates registration of participants in Community Based Therapy (CBT) programs
  • Prepares confirmation letters and other communications with CBT families as requested
  • Communicates with CBT therapists regarding ongoing procedures to make programs run efficiently at beginning and close of each program
  • Participates in other activities that support department and Center projects and goals as requested.
  • Adhere to Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley Code of Ethics.  Comply with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.  Work is performed consistent with established Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley Mission, Values, and Philosophy.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Experience using a computer, photocopier, postage meter, calculator, and other office equipment is required.
