Vice President, Regional Distinguished Partners

Leads execution against the enterprise-wide vision, direction and region-based strategy for corporate account management, distinguished events, and major gifts in assigned region, including accountability for significant income targets. Responsible for profits and loss for regional corporate account, distinguished event, and major gift activities and ensuring ROI targets are achieved. Manages a team of region leaders for corporate accounts, distinguished events and major gifts; ensures a high level of collaboration within the department and across the region. Ensures engagement and mobilization of diverse constituents, staff and volunteers in a prioritized and coordinated way to meet established regional and market objectives.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develops and leads implementation of a comprehensive regional strategy for the Distinguished Partners department comprised of an inclusive moves management plan for individual, foundation, and corporate prospect identification, research and development, grant writing stewardship and cultivation, constituent account management, corporate activity implementation, distinguished events execution, annual and multi-year major gifts, and support of organization-wide mega campaigns.
  • Serves on the senior leadership team for the region with shared accountability for an integrated approach to meeting overall region goals and objectives.
  • Manages, coaches and develops the leadership staff for the Distinguished Partners department. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct reports are well-defined. Ensures high level of collaboration between corporate relations, major gift, distinguished events leadership staff, and all direct reports, to collectively achieve revenue targets
  • Ensures achievement of income performance targets through individual, foundation and corporate engagement, annual and multi-year gifts, mega campaigns, galas, golf events and other distinguished events.
  • Monitors expenditures and progress against plan and takes appropriate measure to meet top line and bottom line goals ensuring a high ROI in meeting mission and revenue targets.
  • Collaborates with the Community Development, Cancer Control, Business Planning & Operations, Communications/Marketing and ACS CAN leads to ensure coordinated and interdependent achievement of region goals; leverage individual, foundation and corporate relationships to achieve income and mission goals.
  • Collaborates with the Global Headquarters Development Department to ensure coordinated and interdependent achievement of income goals.
  • Develops and oversees execution of regional strategy for constituent cultivation and stewardship, grant development, individual major donor, foundations and corporate engagement, including account prioritization and execution to meet enterprise strategies, priorities, and goals.
  • Serves as primary relationship manager for a limited number of priority accounts as appropriate, including high net worth individuals(HNWI), family and corporate foundations, and other corporations for the purpose of income development and assistance with mission outcomes.
  • Provides leadership for CEOs Against Cancer chapters; exhibits clear connectivity with GHQ CEO leadership; supports the identification, facilitation and relationship management of member companies.
  • Partners with GHQ Corporate Alliances departments to provide support with Fortune 500 account management and region level execution; leads execution excellence for corporate account locations in the Region.
  • Supports ACS CAN strategies by leveraging Distinguished Partners relationships.
  • Oversees the delivery of a high level donor/constituent experience in order to engage and maintain relationships with key individuals, corporations and foundations and ensures grant writing, stewardship and donor recognition execution in accordance with region strategic plan and Global Headquarters strategy
  • Ensures integration across Distinguished Partners, Cancer Control, Community Development, Business Planning & Operations, Communication/Marketing and ACS CAN teams.
  • Maintains a productive and collaborative relationship with the Society’s Global Headquarters departments and other regions; participates on enterprise projects and committees as appropriate.
  • Models and fosters behavior that establishes a culture that values the staff/volunteer partnership, and is consistent with the values, goals, and objectives of the Society to create an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, empowerment, and dedication to the mission.
  • Drives community relevance through customer-centric and innovative strategies.
  • Ensures that regional staff and volunteers reflect the diversity of the communities served by the region and creates and reinforces an environment of inclusion.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 10 years’ successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and relationship development with high net worth individuals.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a leadership level management/supervisory capacity for a multi-million-dollar organization.
  • Successful performance managing and monitoring profits and loss and taking appropriate measure to meet targets

  • Travel, including evening and weekend work required.
