Executive Asst Health Strategies

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for an Executive Assistant, Health Strategies in our Denver office. You will provide administrative support for the SVP and VP of Health Strategies for the Denver Community Impact Market including managing travel and expenses, scheduling and executing logistics for all meetings. More responsibilities include managing operations and data support including daily detailed data management for Target Blood Pressure, Check.Change.Control, and Check.Change.Control.Cholesterol while tracking and reporting for the SouthWest Affiliate (SWA.

You will also provide monthly Affiliate-specific dashboard reporting for SWA markets, measures and serves as the liaison with National Center Consultants regarding compliance with monthly National Health Strategies reports. Manages the asset and budget tracking. Provides project management support for a growing list of national relationships.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Extensive data management support.
  • Project management support developing and supporting the RACI, drafting and disseminating meeting notes.
  • Manages scheduling, travel and expenses, including affiliate board liaison with the EVP Operations team.
  • Monthly Affiliate-specific dashboard reporting.
  • Executes logistics for all Denver Health Strategies team meetings, and SWA Health Strategies Leadership Team meetings.
  • Manages the Health Strategies Asset Tracking and budget tracking for the SVP of Health Strategies, the Vice President of Health Strategies for the Denver Community Impact Market, and the VPs of Quality Systems and Improvement and Communications & Marketing.
  • Provides monthly support for RQI and Mission Advancement reporting and Affiliate calls.
Educational Background: 
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field related to program area is generally preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2+years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative support for a manager or multiple managers.
  • Experience in office practices, administrative support, or the technical program area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, to handle high-level administrative issues, to analyze and solve work-related problems, and to assign and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Proven background and willingness to work in atmosphere requiring flexibility and change as well as the ability to work irregular hours including attending evening and weekend meetings or events.
  • Ability to lift 20lbs from ground to waist level with or without reasonable accomodation.
  • Intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations. These skills are subject to testing.
  • Must be at least 18 years.
