Responsible for identifying, cultivating and expanding key community relationships to further AHA mission and fundraising goals in the assigned market.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Cultivate and expand relationships with local district leaders including superintendents, school nutrition directors, HR and/or employee wellness leaders, and others as appropriate.
- Develop and lead high school engagement strategies. Develop and pilot engagement opportunities for high school students and staff such as volunteer and STEM activities.
- Secure new revenue via employee, high school, sponsorship, foundation, and grant opportunities among AHA Youth Market schools.
- Foster increased volunteer engagement and participant activation by facilitating relationships between AHA event leads and district leadership.
- Engage districts in collective community impact strategies.
- Engage and support district in Workplace Health issues and opportunities. Work with districts to assess and address workplace health including completion of workplace health achievement index and connecting to resources such as CCC and/or pilot workplace health improvement strategies.
- Promote health and well-being among students and staff within local school districts. Support school health improvement by forming a relationship with and serving on school district wellness councils.
- Build and manage a local superintendents’ round-table.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health, Health Education or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience:
- Five (5) years of experience developing community led programs, projects or events
- Five (5) years of experience engaging, motivating and retaining volunteer leaders
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
