- Prepare monthly financial statements for Board of Directors.
- Post all activity and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis to supporting schedules and campaign software reports.
- Prepare annual operating budget and semi-annual financial forecast with assistance from President. Completion of all required reports for United Way Worldwide.
- Coordinate annual audit, ensuring auditor has all information needed for completion.
- Manage Pledges Receivable
- Oversee pledge and payment input, including preparation of bank deposits.
- Generate campaign reports for Resource Development staff to monitor progress.
- Monitor collections.
- Prepare and mail billing statements monthly.
- Prepare and mail letters to donors substantiating their contribution for IRS purposes.
- Document Leaders in Giving and In-Kind contributions.
- Manage Purchases/Cash Disbursements
- Disburse allocation checks monthly.
- Disburse designation checks after confirming 501( c )(3) or tax-exempt status.
- Prepare operating checks semi-monthly.
- File 1099 forms annually.
- Maintain depreciation schedule for fixed assets.
- Monitor checking account balance and investments.
- Prepare employee payroll (semi-monthly) & related payroll tax returns and From W-20.
- Oversee employee benefits, enrollments and terminations.
- Section 125 Plan
- Health, Dental and Life Insurance
- 403 ( b ) Retirement Plan
- Review partner agency audited financial statements on a regular basis.
- Safeguard assets and records of organization.
- Worth with organizations insurance company to determine adequate coverage, types and amounts are in place.
Educational Background:
B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
