The American Heart Association is looking for the National Director of the Heart Ball campaign based out of . This leader will be responsible for running a $100M field campaign through campaign oversight, product development and marketing, and driving a sales strategy through field channels.
Ideal candidates for this position will have experience in brand management, product development and marketing, and/or field marketing; and will understand the hearts and minds of major gift donors and corporate sponsors. Succeeding at this position will require leadership, autonomy, polished management skills, organizational vision, collaboration, tactical excellence, and nervy strategic thinking. Sharp creative instincts are needed, as well as keen business savvy.
- Brand Management. Elevate the Heart Ball donor experience by creating the rights and rituals and developing a sales strategy and field marketing plan for the 180 events across the country
- This role requires someone who has a “get stuff done” mindset that can anticipate and remove obstacles, maintain accountability for all work from conception through production, and drive workflow across multiple teams and partners
- Analytical skills. This role involves forecasting future consumer trends and determining the various benefits and challenges of a particular pathway
- This role requires much more than just sticking to a standard formula. Instead, coming up with new and unheard-of marketing ideas and products is crucial
- Storytelling abilities. Successfully promoting the American Heart Association and Heart Ball brand requires coming up with a compelling story about the campaign, event, or product to convey to the audience
- Research skills. Brand managers must research their consumer base extremely thoroughly in order to appeal to that audience successfully
- Vision: We are looking for someone who sees a pathway to double the fundraising revenue through the Heart Ball platform. For someone who views every obstacle as an opportunity, has experience in successfully leading large-scale strategic efforts, and can identify and foster long-term scope growth
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience
