Responsible for leading development and integration of national direct/digital response fundraising resulting in increased revenue and donor engagement. Responsible for developing strategy and implementing effective and efficient donor acquisition and renewal through multi-channel access. Responsible for establishing and growing relationships throughout AHA to introduce and improve efficiency in digital donor acquisition.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Leads national multi-channel direct response campaign to increase donations and improve donor acquisition, engagement and renewal.
- Researches and develops national acquisition strategy for direct mail fundraising and donor engagement. Establishes best practices for acquisition investment to provide effective and efficient revenue growth.
- Acts as a resource and builds relationships with AHA leaders to provide consultation and acquire donors throughout AHA’s digital strategies.
- Analyzes life cycle of direct response donors. Develops long-term plans to renew and establish individual donor value across all Mission Advancement opportunities. Understands and applies donor acquisition and engagement models to produce revenue and build consistency.
- Directs the execution and integration of direct mail (offline) and digital (online) fundraising. Enables team to study, recommend and develop innovative engagement practices leading to increases in and long-term engagement of donors.
- Consults with National Center and Affiliate Development teams regarding direct and digital fundraising policies, legal issues, and technology support.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related area preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Direct marketing experience via mail, email or other mass communication medium
- Customer/Contact Management System experience
- Experience in non-profit environment
- Fundraising or sales experience
- Marketing or sales strategy development and execution experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
