The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Digital Fundraising Manager (Direct Response) for Community & Health Development Operations in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing fundraising (on and offline) trends, as well as identifying opportunities to engage and grow donor and prospect base in effective and innovative direct to consumer fundraising strategies. Responsible for creating and implementing direct or peer to peer digital fundraising campaigns across assigned platforms in support of overall annual campaign revenue and performance goals. Also, responsible for developing and leveraging marketing and digital resources to expand AHA’s donor base. Will also be responsible for reporting on digital performance on a monthly basis so analytical and written skills a must for this position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Executing with excellence all direct response marketing efforts to support key programs such as Honor/Memorial, Sustainer, Monthly Appeals, and support on annual campaign as needed
  • Growing the donor base and revenues to achieve annual performance goals. Must also build collaborative, productive relationships with partners in BT, Sitecore/Website as well as with agency partners
  • Facilitates development and implementation of fundraising communications and campaigns through AHA platforms including Luminate or Salesforce. Develops and executes project timelines and action plans. Collaborates with internal and external partners across AHA departments, contractors, vendors and consultants.
  • Researches marketing and on/off-line engagement trends to stay current and remain competitive in AHA’s category. Align with stakeholders, tools and resources for application to direct response fundraising opportunities.
  • Designs direct response fundraising model to leverage key on/off-line platforms for the enhancement and growth of donor revenue.
  • Develops digital interaction and on-line response campaigns and data collection to expand and improve donor traffic.
  • Designs measures and reports to demonstrate accomplishments, identify areas for improvement, and track overall increases in revenue and attainment of goals. Evaluates and provides updates and metrics reports to team members, senior leadership, and business leads. Collects, analyzes and presents campaign data to evaluate and improve processes and establish sustainable models for predictive success
Educational Background: 
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five (5) years of experience in online/digital marketing, direct response marketing campaigns or related interactive customer relationship management
  • Five (5) years of experience with comprehensive understanding of digital communications, interactive media, and customer insight analysis and trending
  • Three (3) years of experience in hands-on use of Customer Management platforms including Luminate and/or Salesforce for execution, tracking and measurement of campaigns
  • Three (3) years of experience building beneficial relationships with all levels of AHA staff, vendors, and external stakeholders such as volunteers or representatives of partner organizations
  • Three (3) years of experience of building and adhering to both strategic and tactical plans, as well as comprehensive understanding of non-profit environments
  • Three (3) years of experience analyzing and interpreting relevant data and using interpretations in the development of campaign models

Preferred skills:

  • Five (5) years of experience with self-directed daily activities and priority setting, as well as quick adaptability to new technologies and opportunities
